Old Fashion Barbershop Shave Soap In A Jar Review & Giveaway By Bebelush

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I have tried many different shave creams, gels and foams trying to get a close shave on my legs. This is the first time that I have tried a Shave Soap to shave with. I know this product is for men to use when they shave but, I wanted to try it myself and give you my opinions on how it works. I can only do that if I use it to shave my legs. Let me tell you a little bit about Old Fashion Barbershop Shave Soap In A Jar by BebeLush.

 Product Description

Enjoy baby soft skin when you use this rich, moisturizing and healing shaving soap with shea, mango and cocoa butter.

Do you ever feel like shaving morning after morning is a chore you'd rather go without? We understand that's why we created our soaps with you in mind.

We've added luxurious shea, mango and cocoa butters for extra goodness and thick, rich and slick lather. We scented our soap with an amazing combination of essential oils, and colored it with natural cocoa powder. Free of all synthetic fragrances, dyes and preservatives, you never have to worry about what chemicals will do to your delicate skin.

Artisan handmade soap colored with natural cocoa powder which leaves a little froth on top. It comes in two scents: Bay Rum and Cedarwood, Cassia and Clove.

Here are a few benefits of  Old Fashion Barbershop Shave Soap:

  • No chemicals, dyes, preservatives or synthetic fragrances.
  • It has a great later that cushions and glides for a close shave.
  • It comes in a compact tin that is easy to take when you travel.
  • It comes in two great scents.

Now for what I think of  Old Fashion Barbershop Shave Soap:

I picked the Bay Rum scented shave soap in a jar to try. I Love the scent! It smells amazing! I can not say that enough! After I opened the tin I had to find a good way to get the soap out of the tin and on to my legs. I ended up using a disposable cotton facial cloth. I got the cloth wet, rubbed it on the shave soap and put it on my legs. I have to say that I was a little surprised at how easy my razor glided over my legs. Very impressed with it! This shave soap gave me the closest shave on my legs that I have ever had! I used my usual razor so I could compare from my usual shave gel and the Barbershop Shave Soap. My legs were so smooth and soft after using the shave soap even the next day after I shaved with it. That doesn't usually happen with my other shave gel. I was going to give this to my fiance' but, now after using it, I am keeping it for myself! I couldn't take a picture of me shaving in the shower so, I shaved a little before I showered and finished shaving with the shave soap as I normally do in the shower. The redness you see is NOT from the shave soap. That is from the neuromuscular disease, Charcot-Marie-Tooth, that I have.

  3. Tina, use a brush to get the soap on your legs, just like the one men used in the olden times (they are popular again and you can find them easily and inexpensively). It's very much worth getting one of those, as it will create a wonderful lather for your legs and not only will it save you money in the long run (this soap will last a few months), but you'll never want to go back to chemically laden shaving gels you find in the stores, as you'd skin will be amazingly soft and hydrated.

I'm glad you liked the soap :)
