ADOVIA Natural Sulfur Soap Review

It has been a very humid summer here in the Midwest this year. My skin can use a good cleaning to get rid of all the dirt and dead skin cells...yuck! I was very happy to get the chance to try Adovia Natural Sulfur Soap. Keep reading to find out more!

Product Description by Adovia:

Adovia natural sulfur soap is highly enriched with minerals curated from the Dead Sea. The sulfur soap however, when used on a gradually increasing level, does not cause dry skin as it is infused with lush Olive Oil and aloe vera, as well as sought-after Dead Sea minerals. Softly yet thoroughly cleansing skin with 3 percent sulfur content old skin cells are removed and pores are unclogged. Harmful impurities and oils can embed themselves into the deepest levels of our epidermis and this is one of the best sulfur soaps on the market to target and dissolve them.

To help keep skin supple and hydrated, Adovia Sulfur Soap is also packed with Palm and Palm Kernal Oil as well the already mentioned Olive oil and Aloe Vera. That said, it is still recommended to start using this soap slowly so your skin can adjust to the healing sulfur that is not in more common soap products.

Main Features:

  •  Your skin's natural moisture levels are balanced and optimized with Olive Oil, Dead Sea minerals and Aloe Vera extract.
  •  Sulfur has Antiseptic, Anti-Fungal and Antibacterial properties
  •  This soap thoroughly cleanses your face and body and leaves your skin gentle and smooth.
  •  Our sulfur soap has a 3% sulfur content.

Now for what I thought of Adovia Natural Sufur Soap:

It lathers well, rinsed clean without leaving any residue behind and left my skin really soft. I don't love the scent of the soap, it reminds me of how it smells in the Dr.'s office. It isn't a bad scent, just not a favorite of mine.

I started using the soap slowly, as stated by Adovia. It did make my skin a little red and my skin stung for a little bit after washing with it, however, it all settled down after a bit. I will keep using the Adovia Sulfur Soap on my face a couple times a week. I will also continue to use it as a body soap, it really made my legs feel soft after using it in the shower.

Adovia Dead Sea Mineral Moisturizing Day Cream Review

I love trying new products from Adovia! This one is a moisturizing day cream that can also be used as a primer before you apply your make up. It is hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and approved.
How great is that?

Adovia Dead Sea Mineral Moisturizing Day Cream Description by Adovia:

"Moisturize and protect your skin with Adovia's quick absorbing and non-greasy, daytime moisturizer. This unique cream quenches your skin's thirst with natural, deep hydration that lasts all day giving you a more radiant, firmer and smoother complexion. It also helps protect skin from harmful effects of the sun and daily pollutants without clogging your pores. It contains an active complex of Dead Sea minerals for natural moisture balance, Grape Seed oil for quick hydration and Chamomile extract and Aloe Vera to calm and soothe your skin.

It continues working throughout the day by improving your skin's ability to regain it's natural moisture and better retain it's moisture levels. This therapeutic cream reduces the visible signs of aging, by penetrating easily into the pores and leaving your skin looking radiant, smooth and healthy for many hours. People will wonder why your skin has than new "glow"."

Now for what I thought of Adovia Dead Sea Mineral Moisturizing Day Cream:

At first I was concerned that it might be too heavy of a day cream for my skin. I was right this time. It was too much for my combination skin, especially, during a very hot and humid summer here in the Midwest. I tried it on my whole face a couple times and then only on my cheeks for a couple days. I think it was just too humid here for anything to absorb and not feel heavy on my skin.

It is cooling off here now and I am trying it again today. So far it is much better than during the heat and humidity of the past couple of weeks. It absorbed in much better this morning and my skin feels soft and smooth. My skin isn't greasy or shiny today. The scent reminds me of when I was a kid and my grandma would apply her moisturizer in the morning. It makes me smile when I apply it, because I am thinking about my grandma. I think this will be a great day cream for this Autumn and Winter for my skin. I will continue to use Adovia moisturizing day cream.

Adovia Exfoliating Dead Sea Facial Salts Review

I have tried several Adovia skin care products this year and I have been really happy with all of them so far. My skin can be very reactive to new products, so I am always a little scared that they will make my skin red, itchy or make me break out with blemishes. This is the first time that I have tried exfoliating facial salts. Keep reading to see how it went!

Adovia Exfoliating Dead Sea Facial Salts Product Description:

  • Exfoliating Dead Sea Facial Salts - Oily skin - 2 month supply.
  • Natural facial salts improve your complexion, refresh and firm your skin while leaving it thoroughly cleansed.
  • These salts will infuse your skin with Dead Sea minerals while removing dead skin cells, leaving your skin radiant, smoothed and refreshed.
  • Eliminates bacteria and excess oil.
  • Exfoliates dead skin cells and pore clogging particles.
  • Revitalizes and refreshes skin, revealing a new healthy layer.
  • Stimulates facial skin circulation and tightens pores.
Directions for use are: Apply salts to a clean wet face and massage gentle. Rinse off with warm water and follow with a moisturizing cream or a nourishing night cream.

Note: It is also recommended for ALL skin types to mix the facial salts into a cleanser or facial soap's lather, this will create a gentle facial scrub.

Now for what I thought of  Adovia Exfoliating Dead Sea Facial Salts:

I tried the facial salts alone and then mixed with my facial cleanser. I wanted to see how they would work best for my skin. When I used just the facial salt and followed the directions for use, my skin was really soft, smooth and really RED! Ouch! My skin felt great, but looked like I had a sunburn on my face. The redness went away in a couple hours, leaving my skin so soft. I waited a couple days before I tried the facial salts again, mixed with my facial cleanser. This time it didn't make my skin red! Yay! I really like how soft my skin feels after using these salts - mixed with my facial cleanser. I also tried the salts on the rough skin on my lower legs and knees, they worked great. My legs were soft, smooth and no more flaky skin. I will continue to use the Adovia Exfoliating Dead Sea Facial Salts (mixed with my facial cleanser).

ADOVIA Dead Sea Mud Shampoo Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I recently tried ADOVIA Purifying Dead Sea Facial Mud Mask and was very happy with the way it made my pores look so clean. I am still using the great facial mud mask a couple times a week. So, when I got picked to try their Dead Sea Mud Shampoo I got really excited waiting for it to arrive! I wasn't sure what to expect from a Mud Shampoo; I had thoughts of smelly, thick, heavy mud. I can happily report that is not what I got.

Here is a description of ADOVIA Dead Sea Mud Shampoo from ADOVIA:

Adovia's Dead Sea Mud Shampoo is specially formulated with ingredients such as Dead Sea Mud, Chamomille & Olive Oil to bring a deep hydration and moisture to the scalp, relieving itching and flakiness. Dead Sea Mud has been known for centuries for it's healing properties and people travel from all over the world to come and experience it's effects at the Dead Sea. Dead Sea Salts and Mud have been featured on CNN, in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. Dead Sea Mud contains the highest concentration of minerals found in mud anywhere in the world. Finally the benefits of Dead Sea mud and salt are presented to you in a shampoo form! These minerals are essential for proper skin function and to help regulate moisture retention as well as hydration.

Now for what I think of the ADOVIA Dead Sea Mud Shampoo.

At first I thought the scent was too strong, but as I lathered my hair with it in the shower I started to really enjoy the scent. It smells kind of spicy to me and I really like it! It doesn't smell like other medicated shampoos that I have tried before. It has a scent that both women and men will like. The Dead Sea Mud shampoo lathered up nicely. I did need to use a pretty good amount of the shampoo to get my long hair nice and clean but, I have to do that with most shampoos that I use. I like that the shampoo didn't tangle my hair and it rinsed clean. I used my usual conditioner on my hair after I washed with the Dead Sea Mud shampoo. I am happy with the way my hair looks and feels after washing with this shampoo. My scalp isn't tight or itchy and was easy to style as usual.

You can find ADOVIA Dead Sea Mud Shampoo on Amazon.com for $23.00 or at Cleopatra's Choice.
